Acupuncture treatment for insomnia

This week, I had the pleasure to see one of my friend and brilliant colleague Richard in my clinic. We discuss new post-COVID era kinds of emotional problems with different types of insomnia - trouble with falling asleep, waking up at night, excessive dreaming or restless sleep, and how acupuncture can help our patients improve it. We both see that in our practices, this type of sleep-related problem is growing.

Traditional Chinese medicine recognizes that insomnia originates from a fundamental imbalance of energies in the body, or Yin and Yang Qi. Sleep is part of natural body rhythms - during day Yang Qi dominates and makes us active, warm and fun)) But as soon as day turns into night, the quiet, calm and cooling Yin Qi dominates. It helps slow down the body activity and get your relaxing and nourishing night sleep. When the natural rhythm is disrupted, there is an imbalance of Yin and Yang, resulting in insomnia.

Acupuncture can help restore balance, relieve stress and anxiety and make sleep better without side effects or addiction to medications. Our passion is to help people feel better, restore systemic balance and achieve greater overall health and enjoy life every day.
